I stumbled up on this wonderful designer called Momo Wang. Her collection is an explosion of color and shows that up-cycling can be amazing!
Wang used second hand materials and clothing from the flea markets of her hometown in Jinzhou, China. Embracing traditional patchwork, quilting, indigo dyes and retro wallpaper and table cloth like prints.
She creates stunning pieces by creative experimentation in repurposing found materials. Wang makes sure that the precious second hand materials don't loose their inherent beauty and value.
The result is a raw, folkloric collection, that honors fabric as a precious commodity. an ode to the small rural place she grew up in, a village in the mountains.
