Green film making!

Green film making!

Yeah! It’s offical, the 2nd edition of our Green Film Making Competition starts this week! An initiative from us Strawberries to challenge filmmakers to work sustainably.

In 2011 the Green Film Making Competition was launched at the Strawberry Earth Film Festival. It’s a competition to give the Dutch film world a green boost by challenging filmmakers to produce their films sustainably. After the success of the first round, it’s time for round two. And none other than internationally beloved actress Thekla Reuten, is once again our ambassador.

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the DOEN Foundation and ASN Bank are supporting the competition. And more big news: the Green Film Making Competition is also collaborating with KORT! and the The Netherlands Film Fund, meaning that this years’ competition films will premiere at the Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht. Roll out that green carpet!

But first things first…this week the participants start with their first Green Film Making workshops. We’ve invited professionals from abroad and some of the most inventive sustainable entrepreneurs to drop by. Like the British green film expert Juhi Shareef from Eco Consultancy and Strawberry sneaker pro Christiaan Maats from OAT Shoes.
