This century, the climate crisis is more urgent then ever. Artist can make us aware of that in powerful ways. Art can also be the spark for innovative solutions. Reasons enough for De Correspondent to initiate an Artfest about Nature.
What to expect?
- Erik de Jong, 'Artis-expert' and professor in landscapes, works on a masterplan for Artis and shares what it's all about. A hint? It includes a brand new museum for 'People and Nature'.
- The Belgian artist Koen Vanmechelen will talk about his fascinating 'Cosmopolitan Chicken Project' - an investigation on biodiversity among chickens.
- And, Ann Demeester, director of the Frans Hals Museum will give a mini lecture about nature.
