Men, women and children come to Europe to escape poverty, war or starvation. We believe people have the right of a safe place to live. A place where they are treated as human beings – not as numbers.
Amsterdam based creative companies De Wolven & TMRW thought it was time for action and started collecting money by selling 100% organic cotton #Hallomensen statement shirts! The raised money is donated to Vluchtelingenwerk to support them providing a safe place for refugees.
Some of our favourite fashion brands and shops are joining forces to enhance this awesome initiative: The first 50 t-shirts were donated by sustainable denim brand (and Strawberry Earth Academy fellow!) K.O.I. We are donating another 200 shirts, that you can buy for €29,95 via the Charlie + Mary webshop, at CP113 in Amsterdam East, and from next week on in the Geiten Wollen Winkel and Nukuhiva.
Now, what happens with all the money?
With the collected money Vluchtelingenwerk gives refugees in the Netherlands personal support and attention. The foundation helps refugees reunite with their remaining family members and assists refugees in asylum procedures. Vluchtelingenwerk continues fighting for solutions to the refugee crisis at both national and European level. Also, the organisation supports refugees to build new lives.
Let's shake things up a little and welcome these new residents by saying HELLO. #HALLOMENSEN, get a tee --> HERE
