8 paintings of Henry Rousseau

Just when we thought we were so fancy and forward thinking with our Strawberry Earth Fair theme ‘Curated by Nature’, we came across the paintings of Henri Rousseau. This French post-impressionist painter is known for his jungle scenes, even though he never saw a jungle in person. All inspiration was found in illustrated books and botanical gardens. We made a selection of his work. Curated by nature. A century ago.
