It's a pop-up milk salon

Got milk? From Wednesday, 1 April 2015 Amsterdam has it's very own pop-up MelkSalon (milk salon). Designer Sietske Klooster teams up with Food Cabinet to discuss the future of milk together with farmers, designers, retailers, entrepreneurs and… milk fanatics. For one month, there will be lectures, design sessions, city tours and movie nights about MILK.

With the opening of the pop-up MelkSalon, the European milk quotas come to an end, giving farmers and processors the opportunity to 'speed up' the increasing geographical concentration of milk production. Yep, big things happening for our farmers. The pop-up MelkSalon invites all people involved to debate about milk consumption and its impact on economy and ecology.

The pop-up MelkSalon is also a great place if you're just thirsty. Or hungry. You can try different types of milk or you can stay for dinner. That's right, they're organising special dinners, with milk as one of the main ingredients. Don't expect milk and cookies (something that sounds fine with us), it's going to be haute cowsuine.
